During the past two years I have been enrolled in and documented an outdoor school that experiments with collective life in nature through methods inspired by hunters and gatherers. Being in a state of trance is a way to enter inter-species communication in an aspiration to repair the split between modern society and the natural world. The practice acts as a reminder that humans were once part of an ecosystem and presents an experience of what that might have looked like. The view of whether we are still a part of nature or have been transformed into something else isolated and possibly irreversible is present.

Through elements of repetition, the two works; Signal Absence - Teaching Drum and Outer Spectral Image are both offsprings from a larger film work Second Nature but will consist in its entirety of films, animations, sound and photographic material.
