MARTINA HOOGLAND IVANOW — IN FOCUS — NEW YORK TIMES (2008)
BY Judith Puckette-Rinella
In Focus features the work of a photographer whose images speak to us here at T.
In her upcoming book “Far Too Close” (steidlMACK; Fall 2008), the Swedish-born shutterbug Martina Hoogland Ivanow photographs her subjects in all sorts of exotic landscapes from the Kola Peninsula in Russian Lapland to Tierra del Fuego on the southern tip of Argentina. Looking at these ethereal images, you’ll find yourself drifting off to a far away place wondering where exactly you are.
